Today we are launching Imindi Version 1.0. What this means is that finally after 4 years of development we will be opening up the public site for anyone in the world who wants to join and set up an account.

What is Imindi? Well in essence its a new way to share your thoughts with like minded people who you may or may not know. People will discover your thoughts and can add their thoughts to yours and hence start a discussion with you and others who share your interests.

When you put your thoughts into Imindi you are not just telling people what you know, but what you think and feel about any imaginable topic and in so doing you are making it easier for others to relate and connect with you and more than a superficial level.

There are other services that allow you to share your thoughts with others and follow their thoughts but we would like to believe that Imindi offers a much better way. We don`t limit the lengths of your post to 120 characters, you can use 750 words.

We won`t make it difficult to work out the context of someone`s thought in a larger conversation that is not visible, we make the whole discussion thread clear and visible and you always know where your or anyone`s thought belongs in the flow of discussion. Finally with some really smart technology we are able to create wikipedia like key word links in the text of all thoughts in Imindi that make it easy to cross reference and search for other thoughts and discussions in our database.

We have built the infrastructure but ultimately Imindi will be about you and will be built by you and we have no doubt that it will be used in ways that we have not even imagined.  Today is the end of a long period of development but is really only the beginning of our service.
